The National Drinking Water Policy provides
a framework for addressing the key issues
and challenges facing Pakistan in the provision
of safe drinking water to the people. The
policy framework is intended to guide and
support the provincial and district governments
in discharging their responsibility in this
regard.
The policy focuses on the provision of
ensure safe drinking water to the entire
population at an affordable cost in an
equitable, efficient and sustainable manner
and to reduce the incidence of mortality
and morbidity caused by water borne diseases.
The policy aims to develop a framework
and guide lines for easy and safe provision
of drinking water for all.
