The Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR):-
The Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) has
been established under the Ministry of Natural Resources. Nature
has blessed Pakistan with adequate surface and groundwater resources.
However, rapid population growth and urbanization have placed immense
stress on water resources of the country. The main objective of
PCRWR is to monitor the water quality and to establish a permanent
water quality-monitoring network in the country. The website features,
publications, annual research reports, etc. It also presents a whole
list of the basic water quality standard as prescribed by WHO. The
PCRWR also provides financial and technical support to universities
and research institutes for collaborative research.
