WESNet-LG Training on 1) Water & Sanitation Project Cycle
2) Low Cost Water Treatment methods & Low Cost Water Schemes
WESNet has arranged a 2-day two trainings
session on the above mentioned subjects on 18-19 July, 2005
& 27-28 July, 2005 respectively. These trainings are one
of a series of trainings to be organized this year with a
broad mandate of addressing some of the capacity building
issues in particular, the TMAs and in general our WES counterparts
and projects in the NWFP (Brochure and Nomination Form attached
herewith).
WESNet
WESNet (Water and Environmental Sanitation Network)
is a network of Water and Sanitation sector government organisations,
NGOs, donors, development partners and private sector stakeholders
of NWFP. WESNet aims to achieve the United Nation’s
Water and Sanitation related Millennium Development Goals
(MDGs) through knowledge management, advocacy, and improved
sector coordination. As part of knowledge management endeavors
a WESNet-LGRDD Training Resource Centre has been established
in collaboration with the Department of Local Government Election
and Rural Development (LGE&RDD) and Local Council Board
(LCB).
Who should attend
Civil Engineers, Environmental Engineers/Water and
Sanitary Engineers from Government Organisations (PHED, TMOs,
TOIs etc) and technical staff of Non-Governmental Organisations,
Fresh Engineering graduates, and Final Year Students from
the Engineering University.
Proposed Venue
The proposed venue for the first training is the
Training Hall at the premises of PVDP, H.No 88-A, St. No 9/B,
Defence Officers Colony, Peshawar (091-284677) and the venue
of the second training is CIP Training Hall, PDA Building
Phase 5, Hayatabad Peshawar (091-9217349) in collaboration
with the Local Government and UNICEF
